★ Folkmore Roles & Attributes ★

Skills:
• Mechanics - a literal mechanical genius, he is shown in various games and media as being especially gifted when it comes to building things like robots, machinery, and working on Karts, even if he doesn't particularly tend to use these skills as often these days.

•Kidnapping King - kidnaps a literal princess [and sometimes, other people] every other month when ordered to. He's gotten especially stealthy about it over the years.

•Excellent driving skills - seriously, the kid drives a go kart like a maniac and laughs his head off the whole time. He can also pilot an airship if need be.

•Leadership - while he doesn't particularly enjoy playing the role of a leader, he has been shown time and time again to be able to lead his minions and army successfully against the Mushroom Kingdom's army (at least until two certain plumbers show up, oops).

•Prankster extraordinaire - Iggy lives and breathes for pranks. If it makes him laugh, he'll do it, even at the expense of his own well being. He's gotten several self inflicted injuries at the hands of Mario for goofing off a little too much, even after losing [taking the time at one point after Mario knocked him down after a failed fight, to get up and knock himself down again because he thought it was funny to do so].

Canon Abilities: Magic, breathing fire, fighting in general, being pretty much fire and heat resistant (he's been knocked into lava at LEAST three or four times in the games and always seems to come crawling back).
Role: Familiar.
Role Qualities/Attributes: Iggy will remain as a Koopa by default, but his familiar form will be a hyena. It's fitting for him, considering that hyenas 'laugh' and Iggy laughs every other second, including maniacally to himself when he's alone in his room, according to Kamek in Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Hyenas are also pack animals, which also fits Iggy, given how close he is with his family at home, so in my mind, a hyena makes sense for him. Later on, he may develop enough skill to turn into something far nastier, but it will depend on how inspired he is at the time to be honest.
Role Reasoning: Iggy is a bad guy by nature, it's true. But he's not entirely a lone wolf, so to speak, because he is very much dedicated to Bowser. Evil runs in his very blood, but if it weren't for his loyalty to Bowser, I'm not so sure how far he'd push his bad guy ways. But just because he's a bad guy, doesn't mean he falls into Myth territory -- he's meant to be an underling to someone bigger and badder, and he has accepted this role at home, therefore in this setting, it would make sense to have him take on the role of Familiar so he can essentially throw his proverbial hat into someone's ring to act as support eventually. This doesn't mean that he can't act on his own, he has a mind of his own and he has been shown to take control of a situation if need be, and he's definitely not all for authority by any stretch of the imagination, but he is far more comfortable acting as a 'minion'.

Option 1. Iggy Koopa is, by all rights, a being of pure chaos. He is considered crazy, with some even deeming him demented. In his mind, almost everything is funny and it's exceedingly rare if he can take anything seriously for very long (and if he is being serious, you'd better run). He's considered crazy for several reasons -- his mind is constantly just going, for better or for worse, he laughs to himself and at himself, even if he's injured or doing something he knows will end up backfiring and harming himself.

Crazy or not, he is actually extremely intelligent, and considered a mechanical genius by some. While he doesn't show this side of himself often, he does enjoy tinkering and building things from time to time, even if they're just practical like fixing someone's broken toy, or souping up a kart. He's gone so far to even create machines of destruction for Bowser and his army, and even a few robots and mechanical devices to aide his siblings in their never ending quest for domination of the Mushroom Kingdom. He tends to mask his intelligence more often than not by instead opting to act carefree whenever absolutely possible, and in some instances, childish, especially when he's with his favorite brother. At one point in Bowser Jr.'s Journey, he actually remains serious long enough to bring up a good point: the troops that have been turned against them via Fawful have likely been brainwashed, and he points this out to his siblings, who in turn stare at him in disbelief. To this, he becomes a little flustered and quickly backpedals, laughing nervously and saying 'just kidding, guys...', before returning to his usual snarky self.

Iggy is nasty and downright vile when he wants to be, as is how he was raised and the evil that quite literally runs through his veins. He is determined to get what he wants, and if he wants something bad enough, he'll do almost anything to get it no matter what the cost. That being said, there are a few exceptions to that rule, specifically his family. He complains about them, pranks them, and goes out of his way to annoy them on occasion, but at the end of the day he does love his brothers and sister and would do almost anything to keep them safe, even if he denies it. The same could be said for potential allies, or friends -- if they can get past his weirdo barrier and put up with some obnoxious pranks and a whole lot of laughter probably at their expense, he is extremely loyal to those he is closest to.

Besides the occasional fit of crazy laughter, he enjoys having fun, although that generally means at the expense of someone else. He loves to play games, with or without others, and he is especially passionate about pranks. Glitter bombs, coming up behind someone with an airhorn, a bucket of water over a doorway -- you name it, he's done it, and he's constantly trying to come up with new and improved, better ways to prank someone (or multiple someones, thanks). He becomes bored easily, and when he gets bored, that is generally when he does his best to get up to no good, even if it's a simple prank. But the longer he sits idly, the longer his mind is allowed to wander, and the grander his ideas become until they can no longer fit into that green head of his.

In battle, Iggy is generally the same as even -- he laughs a whole lot, especially if his opponent gets frustrated, and he flings insults, laughter, and magic. Iggy loves a good fight and will go out of his way on occasion to pick one if he's feeling up for it, even if he's not prepared to throw down. He is fast, far more so than any of his other siblings, and he fires off his magic with little regard, doing his best to one up his opponents as soon as he can. Even without magic, he's been shown to hold his own in a fight just with his speed and strength alone, and he can even tuck his whole body into his shell for both protection and attack purposes, spinning at a rapid pace in order to do as much damage to his opponent as possible. The same applies to fights as it does pranks, really -- if he is bored, he will get up to no good. And if he can irritate someone he particularly doesn't like or knows will easily feed the troll (himself being the troll), then he will gleefully throw throw hands if it means it's something to do, even for a short period.

Even Iggy isn't sure what his full potential could be, because for most of his life he's generally served in Bowser's army, having been adopted by his boss as a very young child. Because he and his siblings were basically raised as if they were Bowser's own children, he's thrown all loyalty behind him. This doesn't mean he isn't his own individual, though, and if he truly put the effort in, he could do a whole lot of great and terrible things, depending on his mood. Full potential for him could vary vastly; he could help the masses via his magic and knowledge of machinery and do a whole lot of good, or he could go the route he's sure he's destined for; causing absolute chaos at every turn, and rising to the occasion for a hostile take over, whether it's the Mushroom Kingdom or an attempt at Folkmore in the distant, distant future.
